Observatory Protocol/Conformance/Checker

Check a document against its schema.

Paste a document, or load an example that passes or one that fails. The check runs in your browser against the published schemas; nothing you paste leaves the page and nothing is stored.

Paste, choose, check.

The schema is guessed from the document’s fields; choose another if it guesses wrong.

A fixture wrapper (a document under “document” with “_schemaTitle”) is read too.

Result

Paste a document or load an example, then check it.

What a passing check shows, and what it does not.

A document that passes has the shape the schema requires. Conformance is more than shape: cross-document invariants and manual cases run in the conformance suite, and a level is reached only with the evidence the profile names.

  1. Shape

Every required field is present, every value has its type, pattern and range, and no field is left undefined. This page checks that.

  2. Invariants

Rules that span documents, such as a result that cites the digest of its evidence, run in the conformance suite of the reference library.

  3. Evidence

A conformance claim states a tested scope and cites its report by digest, and claims nothing beyond that scope.
